Iris has volunteered many hours with her sons for the Young Men’s Service League, mentored young women, and served throughout the Greater Austin Area with the Lone Star (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and the Alpha Alpha Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Iris holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, Duke University. She is currently pursuing a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University. She completed her coaching certification through The CaPP Institute. She is based in Austin, Texas.
